Proa Nixe in the International Yacht Club in Lumut, Malaysia

Cruising proa Nixe

Proas are light and fast boats with a layout no other boat has. A mainhull and a smaller sidehull.

In Nixe's mainhull there is all you need for cruising: a double bunk, galley, navigation table, a table with seats for four, shower and toilet room, a storage room for tools and spare parts and enough lockers for all two people need in a liveaboard. And a big cockpit with 2m long seats. Just comfortable.

Nixe has a high speed potential for cruising. She is not a racer but she does 6 to 8 knots in moderate winds and 4-5 in light winds.

Nixe was built in Thailand in 2013 after only 7 months and for about US$ 50'000. Extraordinary for a 38 footer.
